Product Description Appreciative Coaching describes an approach to coaching that is rooted in Appreciative Inquiry. At its core the Appreciative Coaching method shows individuals how to tap into (or rediscover) their own sense of wonder and excitement about their present life and future possibilities. Rather than focusing on individuals in limited or problem-oriented ways, Appreciate Coaching guides clients through four stages?Discovery, Dream, Design, and Destiny?that inspire them to an appreciative and empowering view of themselves and their future.

An Insightful view that you can incorporate to your coaching practice May 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very fortunate to complete the AC workshop at Fielding Institute facilitated by 2 of the authors (Ann and Jacky) in a very dynamic web space environment. I can honestly say I have incorporated AC as the heart that moves my Career Coaching practice. Throughout the course I was coached and coached a partner by using the tools provided in the book and the results are fantastic. I truly recommend the book to anyone wanting to get out the box and facilitate clients in discovering, dreaming, designing and living their destiny. Most participants ended the book and finished the workshop with a huge desire to see more on the subject from the authors.
Loved Appreciative Coaching! May 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Appreciative Coaching is a very practical guide that helps the coach tap into the client's energy and excitement around topics, which can then be harnessed into creating a life the client really loves. The book describes the appreciative coaching method step-by-step with many examples and sample questions. I recommend the book to every coach, manager, and executive. Anyone that supervises people will find that the methods described in the book help them help others excel.
A Guide for Asking the Right Questions to Energize Clients to Action May 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Appreciative Coaching provides a practical approach for coaches to use to energize clients to action. The book really helps to teach a coach how to ask the right questions which are central to tapping into the energy of the coachee. By honoring the coachee's inherent wisdom and knowledge and by amplifying what is going well, a coach using the Appreciative Coaching approach is able to have a clear and effective model for bringing out the innate gifts of the client. The book contains real life coaching scenarios and shows how to apply the model to these scenarios.
Appreciative Coaching is a valuable resource for both novice and experienced coaches alike.
Appreciative Perspectives and Practices August 27, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The authors of Appreciative Coaching elegantly integrate theory and practice. They have designed a framework that helps one to understand appreciative inquiry and to weave it into one's coaching practice, by providing the tools to use their design. I have shared this book with colleagues in the current coaching certification program I'm attending, and they have all quickly ordered it and thanked me for the recommendation. Thank you to the authors for their contribution to the coaching field.
